    READ THE TEXT BELOW

    This thread is a copy of the previous one. For not to make people confused about bugs listed on the forums, this new thread is only for STABLE versions, not older than UPBEAT GIRAFFE. Keep that in mind when you post bugs here. Most of these bugs are from previous stable versions. When the new stable version hits Steam, all old bugs will be tested, fixed bugs - deleted, new bugs - added. If you want to help me test these bugs and search for new ones - contact me through PM. Thanks in advance.

    As you see in the thread's name, I'm going to collect all useful information about bugs here, for the sake of developers. It would be nice if you could post all bugs you find here, if you're even searching for them!

    For those who say that this thread is unwanted because Molly made one. I know about this! But I also want to help everyone by collecting information about bugs in one post, for new players to know what they may find and for others to see the progress.

    Anyway. Good luck on bughunting!

    • I have a small plea for you guys. Please, categorize your bugs and write them properly, without personalities (I have, My ship). There are too many bugs, takes a long time to handle them all. Little help from you would be great! ^_^
    • This thread is not for nightly builds! Nightly builds are terribly broken, and you all are aware of it, unless you can't read. Posting bugs from them is pointless, since developers are pretty much aware of them.

    4) Important and dangerous bug, affecting computer/client, deleting characters and other stuff
    3) Severe bugs, leading to client crashing or other undesirable effects
    2) Moderate bugs
    1) Possibly not a bug, but a feature/working as should, or an interface bug
    0) Undefined bugs, that happened to players only once, for testing

    New bugs (Upbeat Giraffe)
    All links [***] here lead to a corresponding post, made by a user in this thread. Their posts usually feature additional information.

    - Launcher crashes upon opening in OS X Yosemite [***]
    - Game seems to crash on OSX Yosemite when certain monsters attack or shoot projectiles [***]
    - Game seems to crash on OSX Mountain Lion when any additional window is opened (inventory or chest etc) [***]
    - Game crashes on OSX 10.9.5 when dying in Erchius Mining Facility.
    [***]
    - Trying to bind any accented character or 10th mouse button in the in-game keymapping interface crashes the game. [***]
    - Taking screenshots via Steam Overlay breaks the game visuals, for example - makes the game window go black. The game is still running. Taking repeated screenshots doesn't fix the issue. [***]
    - libSDL-1.2.so.0 is not packaged with the game. On ubuntu 14.04 64bit, installing the package libsdl1.2debian allows the game to run. [***]
    - Client crash on radiation planets(possibly due to minibiome). Does not affect the 64-Bit Experimental client. [***]

    - Windows pertaining to inventory (chests, shiplocker) can have multiple instances of the same window. [***]
    - Minor graphical glitches on Novakids' faces and guns. [***]
    - Elevation issues everywhere! [***]
    - Fullscreen doesn't work anymore. When enabling that option the game remains windowed, zooms in and becomes blurry. [***]
    - Linux Ubuntu: First loading takes quite a long time, more than 2 minutes. Any other loading takes only 5 seconds. [***]
    - Linux Ubuntu:
    UI and font's doesn't render properly with Intel HD graphics. nVidia GPU doesn't have this problem. [***]
    - "Beam Home" option sometimes warps into another character's homeworld. It appears to move an entire spaceship there, not just the player character. [***]
    - Interacting with ship's teleporter more than once will cause multiple option windows to appear (the number corresponding to the number of times you interact). Teleport to planet or home world and the previous option windows remain. Choose to teleport again will cause the player to be stuck during teleportation. The game does not crash, so you are able to save&quit to the menu screen and log back in to continue. [***]
    - The rumble of the rocket boots keeps playing even after boots are turned off. [***]
    - Building a foreground wall along side of an opening in the background wall causes the shading around the border of the opening to disappear for a distance of about 1/2 block. [***]
    - Apex research facility, the one with double doors on both sides of a protection mechanism, tend to not generate properly. Only route of facility usually generates, making the dungeon incomplete. [***]
    - On a Glitch ship, there is one block that can not be changed in any way. [***]

    - The Lore when you start a new character still says that the ship ran out of fuel and things like that. Needs to be corrected to say that the ship is also broken. [***]
    - Interface Windows totalling an odd number of pixels height wise, results in the top border being cut off (the black outline) by one pixel. [***]
    - Sound when energy is depleted or restored does not play anymore.
    [***]
    - On a fully upgraded glitch ship, between the two doors leading to the most left room, there is no wall. [***]

    - Shift-clicking some items into or out of the inventory may cause crashes on some devices. [***]
    - When holding the "Raw Fish" or "Cooked Fish" item, it is rendered floating in front of character, instead of in character's hand. [***]
    - The "old chest" Item has a 3d print value of 125 but cannot be scanned. [***]
    - Some chests can remain opened after closing the inventory tab. [***]
    - The "Toxic Juice" food item appears to be static and stuck, floating within the player. [***]
    - Wooden Support will only face one way [***]

    - Any weapon-trader NPC will randomly generate a new inventory of weapons each time it's opened. Furthermore, every time a weapon is selected from the inventory, a new random weapon with unique stats will be displayed instead -- however, each random weapon is still confined to the original inventory's class (s.rifle, staff, etc.). This allows the player to shuffle through random weapons until they find one with the best stats and purchase it for the same price as what'd originally be sold. [***]
    - Giant birds get stuck on the ground as soon as they touch it. [***]
    - For some players, Erchius Boss beam animations don't match beam objects, they're reversed. [***]
    - Character creation screen: it's possible to change the underwear colour (for a human) but not see it. [***]

    - The music volume will lower itself when encountering a mob, Even it's at 100 it will lower itself. [***]
    - "Dark Gravity Bubble" does no attack whatsoever. [***]
    - NPC spawned manually via the corresponding crafting table don't wear any clothes. [***]

    - It appears that some gear appears outside of beds when sleeping. [***]

    - Different liquids won't mix. Sometimes they appear weirdly on top of each other. [***]
    - When a door is placed underwater the water does not go all the way to the door. When the door is opened and shut, it makes the water level fluctuate. [***]
    - Pile of eyes blocks, get random/glitchy textures or no textures at all when painted with the paint tool. Happens both when placed in background and foreground. The texture change from time to time, for example when maximizing and restoring the game window. [***]

    - Running the Erchius Mine mission in multiplayer prevents the player from using FTL in single player. [***]
    - When jumping into the arena to fight the penguin mech (Weapons Testing Facility) in multiplayer the game client crashes. Specifically once you drop through the trap door to fight the penguin mech, some time during or shortly after landing the fall - games crash. [***]
    • Happens when a 64-bit client connects to 32-bit server and vice versa. 64-64 and 32-32 client-server 'relationship' works fine.
    - Doing /ban on a character will cause all handshakes afterwards to try and use that banned character's last IP [***]
    - Heavy CPU usage happens with x64 executable. [***]
    - Asset Digest Checking does not function. When enabled and players connect it will automatically verify their assets are the same as the servers even when they aren't. [***]
    - Password protection via the starbound.config doesn't work. [***]

    - Using Targeted Blink in a ship results in game crashing. Any attempts on accessing the character again results in the client crashing for some players. [***]
    - Repeated use of the Targeted Blink on any location causes the player to be suddenly trapped in mid-air with nothing around the player. The game becomes unresponsive and in turn corrupts the .player file.
    Restoring a character file backup created by the game restores functionality but any progress made will be lost then. [***]

    - Attempting to scan an animated sign in the Outpost's sign store causes the Sign UI to bug out and disappear. [***]
    - Dyes cannot be crafted [***]
    - Both Particle Boost Tech and Particle Thrust Tech have the same effect. [***]
    - Using grapple on a surface and then using Human mech removes the grapple, but once you leave the mech the grapple re-appears in the spot that it was originally attached to. Seems to go away if the path is obstructed [***]

    - It is possible to dupe grappling hooks, and, possibly, other items as well. Read here -> [***]
    - It is possible to stay on other player's ship after s/he left the server. Any item taken from the ship will remain in your inventory. But when the player re-enter, his/her items are back, resulting in successful duping. [***]

    - Buying a liquid erchius crystal fuel, or talking to a merchant in the outpost crashes the game. The character is deleted afterwards. [***]
    - Going full-screen minimizes the window instead. [***]
    - Attempting to FTL to either of the dessert planets in starting solar system triggers infinite FTL loop, forcing reload [***]
    - Beamed back up to ship and the ship was reset completely. Unable to reboot SAIL or do anything to leave it. I had one ship upgrade. [***]
    - Game crashed just after collecting some bones and gold ore from an Avian tomb. I don't know if it was because I closed the tomb with ESC inmediately after taking the loot. [***]
    - Ever since I moved my ship to a specific tropical planet, I've been losing connection to the server within the first 10 seconds of joining it. Reason? "Client-server connection no longer valid!". It doesn't matter if I go on the planet, try to quickly move the ship to another planet or just sit around in my ship doing nothing, I still lose connection very quickly. It is too fast for me to be able to move my ship to another planet, so I am stuck in that loop of connection and disconnection, unable to play with my friends anymore. All of my friends that tried to join my ship and go on my planet had the same issue, but since their ship is not on that planet, they can rejoin and keep playing fine. [***]
    - I was shift-clicking some lootable items in the Erichus crystal mission, when my game crashed. The message said something about and Inventory exception, and about being unable to delete a stack when locked. It did say the exact specifics before, but the window closed by itself. [***]

    I'll also collect the bugs from other threads and put them here. Be sure to check if any are missing!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Fixed bugs
    - Characters cannot be deleted.
    - Asteroid fields on moon, snow and tundra type planets are colder than in any other planet types. This requires players to use 2 campfires to gain heat in warmest clothes available.
    - Usually plants in the jungle and other biomes sounds like breaking jars.
    - Temperature at night is higher than at day on snow planets.
    - Ship Teleporter cannot be interacted with when holding the Wiring Tool
    - Tentacle "trees" on tentacle worlds drop wood instead of flesh or maybe tentacles
    - When underground and when the background is visible (i.e.: the “painted” background), sometimes when trasitioning from one background to another, the entire background will “flash” a flat color in the transition.
    - After game crashes, process doesn't disappear from the list, must be removed manually.
    - Launch error for Windows 8 [*]
    - Launch access violation on Windows XP [*]
    - Adjusting anything regarding the window, full screen toggle, or resolution will force the game to crash.
    - Changing resolution doesn't do anything.
    - If you press escape while resurrecting, you will often see the planet for a second, then your ship.
    - Food bar still does not show after every food item eaten ('Alt' works however)
    - If left open, the ship inventory will eventually play the 'close chest' sound even though it remains open.
    - Upon exiting the game, some errors are shown. [*]
    - If you click "connect to server" without having the server address and/or password compiled it crashes instantly
    - When sitting on chair in the cockpit, games becomes laggy on certain devices.
    - For some reason, when using the Navigation window and zooming into a system with a Forest or Arid planet, the game goes out off fullscreen and back to windowed mode.
    - Pasting special characters into game causes crashes. (for example 'Э', or 'ó')
    - If you put your inventory window to close to the edge of the screen tool tip dialog goes off screen instead of shifting in towards the center. So you end up cutting it off depending on how close to the edge it gets.
    - Eyes blinking animation can be seen when sleeping
    - Flying to a planet you can't land on get's you stuck in warp speed.
    - Leaving the game via quit button can leave series of "access violation" errors and crash it.
    - Bringing up the food bar manually with Alt and then eating while it's still showing will cause the food bar in its initial state to pop up for every thing eaten.
    - Game crafts items that are on the top of left list (if you enter something into search bar). However, it uses materials of what is shown on the right.
    - During the human regen sequence, if you're wearing the floppy wizard's hat in the vanity slot, the character's hair doesn't show properly on the naked portrait after regen.
    - If you dig down to the very center of the planet (bottom edge of the map), and your feet touch the ground, you will be unable to move. The only exit is to kill yourself (probably by breaking some dirt and letting the lava wash over you.)
    - The music in tentacle biomes is way louder than the rest of the soundtrack.
    - Sometimes when typing right as you die, the rebirth animation starts playing. When you return to the game masses of characters are repeated.
    - One-hunger-bar sound is too loud.
    - Tree mowing animation is kind of broken sometimes while they are being cut down and swaying to the sides, some top sides of the tree move to much to the left or right, making the trees look like lego trees.
    - If you turn the resolution to the lowest possible the UI becomes almost impossible to read because it becomes very small.
    - Sometimes selecting planet-systems (not solar systems) on the star-map causes the game to change to a blurry 4x zoom view. This can usually be fixed by minimizing and then restoring the window but sometimes attempting this causes a crash.
    - When playing with another player, if that player sits or lays in a bed or chair, sometimes it will just show them standing up.
    - If you pick up an item with your cursor while looking into a chest and move far away from the chest where it will close it, the item you were holding on your cursor will be deleted. (it'll reappear in your inventory when you leave/go to ship)
    - Was placing blocks, and accidentally used the targeted blink on the same location I was placing a square of dirt in, this crashed my game, and upon restart, I can no longer access that character.
    - It is possible to to prevent another player from reaching their home planet (or any planet), therefore removing their access to anything they have stored there, by placing a propeller on the spawn site for that planet.
    - Star system/planet names (like gamma marfak-east majoris) are sometimes too long for the planet overview part of the navigation window and get cut off.
    - Scrolling down the character selection screen until you do not see any created characters and then scrolling back up will freeze the game just before the top character is visible.
    - It is impossible to see weapon or item description if it is in the bottom of inventory.
    - Hylotls start with glitch weapons.
    - Combat Helmet clips with certain hairstyles.
    - Drops seem to pick up/disappear if you are near them with full inventory while using a chest. Either that or they have broken drop lifetimes.
    - Sometimes crafting fails, or better, the crafted item won't appear in the inventory.
    - Sometimes navigating the ship's starmap is impossible. Zoom in/out doesn't work, typing in custom co-ordinates doesn't work. The only way to reach other planets is by clicking "Go to Random" and clicking random systems.
    - Stone furnace won't show ores being turned into bars until you click on them.
    - If the starbound launcher (the one that allows the user to choose to launch client or server) is closed before the client fully loads to the main menu then the game becomes stuck at the "loading" splash screen until the client is closed and the launcher is reopened and left open until the game makes it to the main menu.
    - During the night, stars at night are in front of the clouds, not behind.
    - Ctrl Alt Tab is crashing the game.
    - Collecting a stack of more than 1001 items (Ores) to the same stack (Collecting the 1001th) will crash the game if the 1000 line is for some reason crossed. Normally the game would just start a new stack, but if there are already more than 1000 items in the same stack it cannot execute the new stack command.
    - Terrain coloration tend to "bleed" onto generated structures.
    - Falling Damage still applies while travelling in water.
    - Even when the block animation is taking place, any damage will still be like normal.
    - Pressing both 'C' and 'I' can crash your game.
    - Creating Open GL character can overwrite your usual character.
    - Pressing down one (or more times) in the character selection to scroll through the char list and then pressing up one times more than down was pressed, the first character data will be loaded.
    - Game crashes to this error screen 100% of the time when you lock the computer (Win7 - win+L) while the game is running [*]
    - Game crashes when you quit while having any status effect.
    - Hunger bar and text below it doesn't always correspond.
    - Searching in the craft window can cause a crash. [*]
    - Poison debuff lights up everything like fire debuff.
    - Some merchants upon talking to them can break your game completely. No sun, no planets. Beaming down/going to cockpit results in crash. Check this please, devs, since the reasons are unknown.
    - Grasslands background doesn't go down far enough with the terrain in some areas.
    - Whenever NPC is taking damage, battle music is playing, even if the player is far from the battle.
    - The hair only seems visible depending on how much the hat takes up the space of your hair
    - In game windows cut off in moderately obscure resolutions.
    - Pressing down and a direction simultaneously (and repeatedly) will allow you to clip through gaps of 3 bricks tall.
    - Status pods don't give buffs anymore, they either hurt or disappear into buff-coloured smoke, not affecting a player.
    - Player can spawn inside blocks
    - For hylotl characters, when choosing to start with the monk's outfit top/bottom, the "arms" and "legs" of the character are human flesh-toned, instead of the same skin color that the rest of the character uses
    - The ship engine sound doesn't seem to play when you are farther away from the ship's center-this bug can be seen on modded ships.
    - There are clouds over Asteroid FIelds and Moons.
    - Some tree leaves are misplaced by default. [*]
    - Rarely when killing a monster, the game freezes entirely and the monster is kept stuck without dying and the whole game world freeze. Getting back to the ship, seems to work, it resumes, but if you warp back to the planet, "sometimes", window turns black, and only exiting seems to work to solve it.
    - Some placeable objects disappear when you leave your spaceship [*]
    - Items are sometimes frozen in place in your inventory. Requires client restart to move them around or delete.
    - Sometimes can't beam down on planet [*] (The travel animation is indeed a planet loading screen. And in single player sometimes it ends sooner then the planet loads (Guess the "crappier" the processor, the longer it takes). When you can't beam down, it's because the planet is not loaded yet, so you have nowhere to beam to. As soon as it loads, the teleporter works again.)
    - Seeds may grow immediately after planting them
    - Resolution was changed to a setting that the monitor was unable to handle, as a result the game is now visually unplayable. The game was uninstalled and reinstalled but the resolution option has not changed. As a result, without the ability to reset resolution to default, the game is no longer playable. It was fixed in a recent update. The window now reverts to a 600x800 window when started with a resolution too large for the monitor.
    - Merchants doesn't sell anything sometimes. They are naked. It was fixed in an update.
    - 3D printer can dupe any items. [*] ( oh no, it was fixed D= )
    - Buying more than 1 item from a merchant will charge you as if you bought only one. It was fixed in an update.
    - When online, you can enter someone's ship, then have them log off. You still remain on their ship, and anything they've put on their ship is essentially duplicated.
    - The book labelled 11 that is found in the Apex labs did not seem to add any journals to my log book.
    - All farmable plants and their seeds have their description mixed up.
    - Crafting stations, 3D-printers etc. activate the search box when opened: This has two negative UI implications. Firstly you cannot just press E again to close it like you can with chests (though E does work to close the window if you deselect the search box). Secondly you cannot press I immediately after opening it if you wish to open your inventory, you have to click somewhere in the window to make that work.
    - Recipe for Packed Dirt called for 1 Dirt Block and creates 3 Packed Dirt. Seems like it should be the other way around.
    - Can't use wiring tool on Apex Security Doors
    - Gravity Bubble increases fall damage on slow descent, and does not effectively eliminate it on soft landings. The only way to eliminate fall damage while descending with Gravity Bubble is to, at some point in the descent, fly upward, otherwise you will take extreme fall damage from very minor jumps.
    - Bone Dragon's fire breath causes damage to itself.
    - The little poo monster's animation is reversed. If it moves right, the animation is looking left and vice versa.
    - Armour defenses are still broken [*] (not a bug: game calculates average armor, depending on what pieces you're wearing)
    - You can hit monster through closed doors and probably walls with your sword.
    - INSANE DPS ON CRAFTABLE TIER 2 WEAPONS
    - Drills seem to be repairable with silver ore only.
    - The new drills seem to mine slower than the old pickaxes.
    - Shields aren't working anymore.
    - Gold Greaves share a model with Copper Greaves, rather than being gold.
    - Torches can be placed in poisonous water
    - When harvesting the hanging vines, it seems impossible to harvest the entire thing in one go. If you harvest from the base tile, the rest of the vine *except* the base tile will be harvested, but you will have to start over from scratch on the base tile (use axe instead)
    - When you shift click an item in your inventory while you have an open container the item will disappear if the container is full. [*]
    - This bug can work the other way - deleting items when transported TO inventory.
    - When using the Durasteel and Aegisalt Tech Upgrade the Items aren't consumed like the Starmaps and can even be used by other players if handed to them after being used.
    - Eating Copper Key Pie crashes the game.
    - Drills are slower/weaker than their Pickaxe counterpart making them completely redundant due to the 3 x 3 block removal of the pick compared to the 2 x 2 of a drill.
    - In order to repair the diamond drill, You have to use platinum ore.
    - There are two types of Matter Blocks in craft window: common and uncommon. Must be one, maybe
    - Some placeable objects disappear when you leave your spaceship [*]
    - Items are sometimes frozen in place in your inventory. Requires client restart to move them around or delete.
    Information for Bug-Testers:
    Please, report the bugs using this template application:
    • Bug classification
    • What bug was tested
    • Fixed or not
    You're free to report as many bugs in one application as you want, just don't mix fixed bugs with ones that wasn't fixed.
    Information for those, who found new bugs:
    Please, report the bugs using this template application:
    • Version of Starbound you're playing.
    • Bug classification (Client-side, Items, Technology, Typo etc.)
    • Is the bug really dangerous (computer-breaking, can delete characters) or is it so minor that it might be a possible feature? Rate it from 4 to 1 respectively. Rate it 0 if you know that this bug is extremely rare.
    • Shorten the bug you found into a one or two sentences.
    • Write how you found your bug, maybe it's important too (optional)
    Let's say you found this nasty bug, that teleports you to the core as soon as you place a boss summoning item. This is how you should report it.
    • Upbeat Giraffe
    • Client-Side
    • 2
    • Placing boss-summoning item teleports the player to the planet core, killing instantly.
    • I just finished the XXXXXXX quest and decided to kill the XXXXX boss. I was on a barren planet so I had nothing to do anyway. I gathered all materials and crafted the summoning item. But when I placed it on the ground, I suddenly appeared in the lava deep underground, and in a matter of seconds I reached the end of the world and died! devs pls fix halp 420 smoke weed everyday
    If you encounter a "bug" that features something somewhere not loading, please, do like said in this video below:
    List of unconfirmed bugs below includes:
    1)Bugs from older than Upbeat Giraffe versions of Starbound. They remain untested as of now, so we have yet to check if they were fixed or not.
    2)Bugs from versions of Upbeat Giraffe and latest ones. These bugs were told to happen to some players, but the true reason, way of replication or the description itself is blurry or unknown.
    List of unconfirmed bugs for bug testers:
    - Having the 3D printer open causes client crashing, and occasional shipworld file corruption for some players. Character and world files have always remained intact. [***]
    - Meteor showers tend to cause crashes and shipworld file corruptions. [***]
    - Attacking with any melee weapon causes the game to crash. [***]
    - Warping to Alien biomes cause crashes. [***]
    - Game doesn't launch on Mac.
    - When underground, removing wall blocks lets you teleport back to your ship [*]
    - On osx the menu does not appear, you have to resize the window to make it show
    - Resizing windows when playing in window mode makes background music change.
    - When sitting on chair in the cockpit, games becomes laggy on certain devices.
    - For some reason, when using the Navigation window and zooming into a system with a Forest or Arid planet, the game goes out off fullscreen and back to windowed mode.
    - Pasting special characters into game causes crashes. (for example 'Э', or 'ó')
    - Big dungeons with hostile enemies cause great lags.
    - No swimming animation.
    - While on ship when background is rotating after a while there is a small skip of rotation, making the smooth transition break for a split second.
    - If you sleep in a bed you don't lose hunger.
    - Scroll bars cannot be clicked/dragged. Otherwise, they work ok.
    - Alt tabbing out when in fullscreen mode reverts to windowed mode.
    - The time on the planet continues to advance while you are in your ship, however there is no indication of the time of day while in orbit.
    - At character creation human undy color can be picked, however there is no visual indication of what color you have picked.
    - When structure is spawned underneath a water pool, the water sometimes stays in the air.
    - If water falls from an underground biome to another biome, the water color from its original biome will "stack" on top of the water in the current biome.
    - You can put everything in the second inventory "bag" and not just raw material blocks.
    - Maximum coordinates that can be input are +/- 999999999 however you can go to planets beyond that.
    - Avians talk with their eyes. (Seriously? O-o)
    - Dungeons that appear over the 'terminator' in the middle of the world (or rather at the edges due to the clever world looping) are essentially cut in half and end in a brick wall.
    - Plants are growing on a floor of prison.
    - Moving really fast can catch up to the loading of areas, leaving big squares of open space which pretty much freeze anything that tries to come in. This can also have the effect of moving NPCs, resulting in them getting stuck inside blocks.
    - Long names 'clip' outside of their intended area at the top left corner of the screen where character information is displayed.
    - In a similar way, you can go through the roof of your ship by placing a shelf very near the ceiling, place bed on it, then use the bed from below and wake up. You will be stuck there though.
    - It is possible to die after beaming up. After the part in the animation where your character is off screen but the screen is still on the planet, if an enemy hits where you were previously standing, you take damage. Defense turrets facing left side of screen but placed above and beyond the apex of hill or roof will target enemies at long range. Defense turret behavior is inconsistent [*]
    - When using the Dash tech facing backwards, it still uses a forward facing "dash shadow". This may not really be a bug, but actually just a missing animation. [*]
The number of scanned objects necessary to reach this point is extremely high, but the printer seems to have a maximum capacity of items it is willing to display.     Also, as stated in the OP, I need people who'd help me test bugs. Anyone?
    If you open Starbound manually it works fine, go to application support in library.
    Well, since you two are bug-testers, I suppose you should start with old bugs. They were left here from previous versions, and it's unknown whether they were fixed or not as of current version. You'll find application for bug reporting in the OP. Good luck!
    I believe the infinite FTL jump bug is back with a vengeance in single player.
    Every time I try to jump to the dessert planets in my starting solar system I get stuck in an infinite loop of the FTL jump. The sound signals the end of the jump, but the jump never actually ends.
    • Attempting to FTL to either of the dessert planets in starting solar system triggers infinite FTL loop.
    Single player, new character. Travelled to mysterious gate, visited outpost, played and completed mazebound arcade and purchased some liquid crystal item. Upon return to ship and talking to the A.I., game crashed to desktop. Upon restart of the game, the character was deleted.
    Thanks for submitting a bug. Once you progress further, test it again. Perhaps it happens in any solar system, not just the starting one. Or perhaps the bug disappears once you get the equipment needed for dessert planets.[DOUBLEPOST=1422516771][/DOUBLEPOST]
    If you please, test the bug one more time, repeating everything you did, and try to figure out, what exactly forced the character deletion.
    I have razed the program to the ground and reinstalled after getting many errors trying to launch. I deleted the entire steamapps Starbound folder for the last attempt.
    That's my Giraffe log, and the program basically is sitting there not doing anything. Previous attempts showed the splash screen and then crashed. I have not played the game in many many months, though I switched to the Unstable (not nightly) build with the intent to play but never bothered. Now that there's a new 'Stable' build, I am finding it all but Stable. :(
    Edit: Load attempt number two following my last complete decimation of all things Starbound on this machine. It was launched directly from the .exe file this time (starbound.exe):
    Edit 4: Loads 7/8 resulted in the same outcome as load 3, and then load 9 resulted in the same errors as load 6. At this point I'll be awaiting a reply or further troubleshooting advice...
    I replayed the game to the point where it crashed, trying to reproduce the error. I systematically repeated everything I've done the first time, played the arcade, bought Liquid Erchius Fuel, tried to access the shop on the far right of the map (doesn't respond), tried to break some tiles, accepted a bug catching quest, and talked to the A.I.. I could not reproduce the crash.
    It might have been unrelated to what I did. I'll notify you once I found a way to reproduce what happened.
    That's some serious shit going on with your computer. I mean, I've seen many players, and only a very low percent of them gets the problem you wrote about. I suppose it's actually a problem with your PC. Go to the IRC and find a dev, ask them about this problem of yours, maybe they know the answer.
    Also, Windows XP? Isn't it like super old now? Microsoft even stopped updating it. I highly recommend switching to Windows 7. You won't feel any difference.
    Weird. Well, we'll take a look at it too, but don't give up, maybe you will be the one to uncover the mysteries of this bug :proper:
    I have Windows 7 on my laptop and I strongly dislike it. I'll update in the future (Windows 10? *shrugs*) but I bought this game when Windows XP was still supported and I'd be kinda unhappy if my older still-capable machine is unable to get it to run.
    Do you have a web link for an IRC login? I'm not as adept with that program as I used to be. Also, early Starbound worked well-enough on my machine so I'm not sure what changed for me.
    Dunno what you don't like in 7. I find it pretty awesome. Win8 on the other hand is awful.
    Here to post a bug
    Problem:
    Game seems to crash on mac OSX Yosemite when certain monsters attack or shoot projectiles
    What i think the cause is:
    The server sends a packet to create a particle for the client, but it contains too much info and the mac osx port doesn't know what to do with them, and makes it crash
    Pastebin with extra info: Sorry i have to do it like this but i can't post links because i dont have 2 posts yet, i will edit the post after i have two posts.
