I recently got the CJB Item Spawner Mod (inspired by some of the interesting items in this thread), and noticed that there are two Wicked Statues in the item list, one with glowing red eyes and one without. The one without red eyes says, "There's something unsettling about this statue," and is pick-able. The one with glowing eyes says, "Something's no right with this statue." I haven't tried to place this one yet, but I suspect it's not pick-able and is the same one as you have on your farm. I'm not sure how this came to be, but it's likely your game called the wrong item code for "Wicked Statue" when you placed the red-eyes one.
I know exactly how this came to be. https://community.playstarbound.com/threads/treasure-hunts.140062/page-2#post-3248182 He got that WIcked Statue via the item spawner as well, from the Treasure Hunt he participated in. Must be that the second statue can be spawned and placed, but /not/ picked up or moved. If you look very closely at the screen capture he linked of his plunder, he's got the red-eyed Wicked Statue.
Ok, I remembered that the game editor I have has a tab for the farm so I thought I'd give it a look. After some playing around (after backing up my save first) I managed to remove the statue from the farm! Of course, I put one of the same back in my inventory. No sense losing a nice gift! So, all's well that ends well. Now to find it a more permanent home.
So I set up a couple statues... including the beastie that gave me so much trouble. It has a new home now. Happy Statue: Not Happy Statue: I even put offerings for them... maybe I'll start getting iridium truffles soon! haha
Glad you managed to figure things out. Though I have to say, the little shrines you made up for them look great. Works well with the More Wicked Than The Other Statue- the torches definitely give it a more ominous feel.
Hah! I don't think I've ever noticed that. Do you think he made the heart, too? Or was Abigail with him at the time?
I wasn't aware Seb idolized Kilroy! (WW2 there was a graffiti of "Kilroy was here" on numerous boats, to indicate that Kilroy had tested their seaworthiness at a shipyard)
I wonder if she says the same thing in the Japanese translation, because, culturally, that would make no sense, lol.
True! I lived in other parts of Asia for several years (never Japan, alas) and changing to indoor slippers before entering the house became such a habit that we still do it even now that we're back in North America. I didn't even think about that -- since I was so busy laughing at the fact that she was saying it OUTSIDE IN THE TOWN SQUARE. No, Jodi, I did not wipe off my boots before coming in (to town.)
I've heard people talk about the whole 'Demetrius likes Maru more than Seb' thing, but I never saw anything in all my saves that would really indicate that... until now...
Gee thanks... Not sure if this is a bug or he's just being more grumpy than usual. (He also sent me some rocks the same day though, so that's cool... I guess.)
