    even i do like that too (have been a great fan of civilization and other games alike in that good old days^^), i think the develpers had made they'r decision allready to set the setting in an allready hightech time frame. implementing all what you and i may think off, would be more for a complete new whole game.
    But when they set it in a futuristic style, they should a least stick with that idea and let the players progress from that point , without hopping back and forth between stoneage and the year 3000. implement some plausible obstacles difficultys the player has to overcome with at first low-end hightech and let them improve further and further.

    hmm seems i'am not able to quote someone properly in this forum
    if someone could share some knowledge about that in a PM, I'd be a more happy space explorer

    Oh, definitely. It' just the type of link I'd like to see between Terraria and Starbound, but I know I'm being somewhat unrealistic here. Your ideas seem much more doable and setting-appropriate, and I think everyone would love to see this kind of progression added to the game, not just us two.

    So you'll just rebuild the game because you realise it fell short (the progression system was never meant to be temporary, you thought it was done and the community made it clear you dun goofed), and rely on player-made mods for content, which will be selected through forum queries? I'm not sure crowd-coding is the direction indie games should be going. Am I really the only one who regularly checks the updates and gets an increasingly bad taste in my mouth each time I do so..?

    i'm brazilian, sorry for my bad english, i would like to see more settings, button settings and graphics,I know that the game requires little hardware, but my computer is a simple dual-core 1.8 Ghz, and would also like to see more bosses and ores, can quickly reach the last tier, wanted more challenge.

    nope, there are a few of us, a small minority. we just all have pet issues so we are not organized at all.

    I disagree with this. I think it has to come in earlier. Perhaps a means of controlling this would be to have the individual upgrades maintain the same cost, but require proper support from the main room. In other words, you'd have to upgrade your generator to power life support systems and light for the additional rooms that you intend to tag on.

    Hi,

    imo, what we need first are:

    - Combat Overhaul [Melee hitbox somewhat off...]
    - Persistent Farmables [Too lazy to wait crops full growth]
    - Extended Songbook [Wider UI is better, specialy when the names are very long]
    - Smelter [Smelting random weapons for some ore, instead of just stocking/tossing them]
    - Pop-off Lights [Very usefull, don't have to swith items]
    - Brain Matter [At least whe acn do something with those inferiors brains]
    - Better Mining [Wider mining area depending of the tool. 3*3 is somewho nasty, need to dig 1*1+ height if you want to pass through your hole]
    - No Battle Music [Or at least an option, 'cause the background music is better]
    - Compact Crops [Need less space for farming]

    Keep up the good work otherwise.

    The Avali Race mod! Normally I would never suggest a race mod, but a race with it's own lore/backstory and completely original design, now that's something to keep an eye on. Not to mention, I haven't played a character of any other race since I discovered the mod. Fluffy Space Raptors until the end of time!

    I ONLY NEED TO KNOW ONE THING....When the game is released will all my hard work and construction be wiped? The structures I have built are massive and I enjoy knowing their safe. PLEASE allow us to keep our home planet PLEASE. If i loose my content this far in I'm jumping ship.

    I would hope that anyone buying this game would be aware that any sort of stability is not a given during the Beta. There will be hiccups, and Chucklefish has explicitly stated this here, on the Steam product page and even in the game itself.

    Of course. Especially with this game type.
    Ive played league of legends and maintained all my items from beta.
    Ive played countless procedural based games and beta data carried over. (ehem minecraft)
    Needless to say most successful companies in item based realms reserve your data.
    Wiping a ladder system or skill tree is acceptable like call of duty.
    Wiping this would be a blow to me personally. Like many others.
    Seeing as the company constantly has already been pushing to save and backup data. It's also been hinted. I just need confirmation!

    Yes, of course. But world data is certainly not completely safe from corruption (as demonstrated these past couple of days with the container issues). Also, one more organised universe wipe is guaranteed.
    Do keep backups of your world! It would help in case something messy happens again.

    Please post a quote of a guaranteed wipe. I would enjoy seeing a link from a dev.
    Also noted and I was not a victim of data loss thanks to measures I took.
