Pixel Sprites; pixely creatures, weapons and characters!

Hello!
Decided to make a new thread since my old thread is... so old. My last post in it was almost a year ago.
I initially made a post in it but deleted it and decided to make a new thread instead.

School is done, the summer-job I had is no more. I have a lot more free time
on my hands, so I can finally pick up an old hobby of mine again after a few
months of not exercising it. That hobby would be 2-D spriting.

I'll go ahead and start off this thread with the first sprite. Also of course since
this is posted under the "fan-art" section, I'll be doing my best trying to make
my sprites as Starbound-stylish as possible.

Made a mace this time around, and played around with what it would look like in-game.

 

You make nice art, it could be a tad darker though in my opinion!

 

Yeah that's true, took your tip and they look better imo.
Also made an axe while at it.

Re-worked my old lizard a bit, aiming to make it more in a starbound-style of spriting.

 

Made another sword... Giant 2-bladed emerald-infused sword.



Made a glass jar with a strange liquid inside!

 

Updated version of an old monster I made.

 

Edit of my old ostrich sprite! I imagine this as a mount.

 

This one is inspired by the demon eyes from Terraria.

Edit: Took your advice. Tried to get it a bit less saturated.

 

I tink the colors are too strong, so tone down the saturation a bit if you know what I mean. Other than that, your sprites are pretty awesome

Looks a little pale, could use a bit darker shading and outlining

 

Yeah, I'd like to use a lot more shading in my sprites, unfortunately Starbound barely uses any shading at all in their spriting and I want to make my sprites as compatible as I can.
It shows a lot more on bigger sprites when there is a lack of shading.

Anyway I added the head of previous monster to this ones body. Darkened it a bit aswell.
