Slay alien, obtain hide, craft leather, create pelts!

    Introducing.... (My first mod)

    Tanning Rack
    [IMG]
Ever stop and think to yourself, "Hmmm, aliens drop pre-cured, pre-tanned leather, that's odd"? Yeah, so did I! So I decided to do something about it...

That's what Tanning Rack does. No longer will aliens drop mystically prepared Leather squares. Now they drop Alien Hide!

    Alien Hide
    [IMG]
In case you haven't figured it out, that's an Alien Hide, obtained by slaying aliens with a hunting bow. It takes one of these pink babies to make a square of Leather!

    Crafting
This is an example of what you can craft with a Tanning Rack! Please note the Floran race will know the Floran furniture recipes, while other races have to learn them by picking up the objects.

    Installation
Installation is simple. First, if you have this mod installed already, completely remove all of its files in your "/Starbound/Mods/tanningrack" folder! Then, download tanningrack.zip and put it somewhere you can remember, like on your Desktop in a folder called Starbound Mods or something. Open tanningrack.zip and extract it to your Starbound/mods folder.

That's it! Now play with the Tanning Rack and get your tan on!

Perfect, thank you! It's frustrating when you're trying to make a snow infantry set and only find one or two leather after hours of playing.

Cool idea, maybe you want to team up with the one who made the animals armour ? Would be such a nice fit, great to have another use for leather and makes the hunting more important

I would love to! Unfortunately, I'm not a very good artist. That Tanning Rack took me an hour to make, and I still don't like it. xD
