I don't understand how a portrait, yaoi style being the example you used, is different because of the modder's intended use... surely, a hot pic of X gender can be hot to those attracted to X gender? since all the village singles are playersexual anyway. Alright, here you go. Currently there seem to be three mods that make the bachelors more reveling.

The buff mod as stated earlier. The Sexy Sam mod. And the Portrait Bara Shounen Style mod (@aemilia the yaoi one mentioned).

If there are others, I do not know of them.

Some people also just like the aesthetic too. I have plenty of straight guy friends including my partner, who could easily admit if a dude was hot or not. Attractive people is just more fun all around in my opinion.
