Adding new Biome Content in the Into the Aether Series!

    Yes It is the Cove Biome from VitSotU in part, but with the update to Giraffe, the old terrain files no longer work. So with the current mod steward's (sayter) permission we used some of the assets and added some new materials and renamed the biome since it is turning into something more. The celestial config, base tiles & parallax are from the cove biome, but the rest of the material is largely new or incorporated from the base game.

    Tidewater will be implemented directly into FU soon with the rest of the VitoSotU biomes that have been converted already.
    Hey, maybe I'll work on the Mountain Biome next, i was a fan of that one too. I've built many a mountainside chalet in my time.

    I seen some of the new tiles they fit well and look really good, I really hope you can get the waves to work that would be really new and stand out. I loved building mountainside bunkers or FOB back when the teleport mod was up. It would be nice to build a few more. Now with the drains fixed since the update I think I'll try a under the sea sub-pin or two on the new Tidewater. no sub to well... pin but hay can't win'em all. I look foreword to seeing more great worlds from you Brah :)

    I wasn't complaining about it being the cove biome. I actually hope your mod will end up amazing because I like the idea, so good luck!

    No worries Mackinz thanks for checking the Mod out! I absolutely loved the cove biome, so I wanted to bring it back and turn it into something more. I'm trying to work on getting the deepsea vents working, but lava and water don't play nicely together.

    I just downloaded this mod, but it looks like it crashes when installed with FU 1.0 - FU notes that some integration is happening,, and it looks like a resource ID conflict...

    Sayter incorporated the materials into FU already but did not activate them. So at the moment, since his last update they are not compatible.
    I'll talk to him about getting Tidewater active and see what else we need to work out to get things live.

    Looks wonderful. I've been watching this and waiting to download until the mod was bit more finished. It's neat that FU is incorporating it, though what you have planned for the standalone I'm still excited about.

    Thanks! Don't wait too long :hylotl:, the biome / planet is fully viable, and makes a great base building location due to its friendly weather patterns (It's just really wet) and scenery. I'm trying to work in as many sub-biomes and terrain options as possible for revisit value. Most future updates I have planned will be purely additive and retroactively compatible.

    Woot thanks Mackinz! I'll try and get it implemented tomorrow. There really is no reason why grasses and reeds shouldn't regrow in the game after the initial harvesting. The seeds are plantable if you activate Admin too...

    PS @Crisium I'll speak with Sayter and see if he wants to integrate it into FU. We had a little chat earlier about his update list & this was on it. If not, it should be easy enough to strip out and make a stand alone mod in the ZIP for just the mountain biome. There is only the terrain / parallax / celestial info that is new. There are no new or duplicated materials.

    Thanks For the thought Brah that would be a good add to FU lol I swear he picked that name just so he could type FU a lot an no ones the wiser :). I got it to work I just fell bad moving thing around in other peoples mod. I've not found one as of yet but I'm a looking :)

Each time there is a update to a mod I use no matter how small I start a new game and wipe my uvers and player dat, Don't ask why I really don't know it's just something I've always done. So with that said I'm not even off the starter world yet :)[DOUBLEPOST=1427987155][/DOUBLEPOST]Say your good at pix art an Gen modding, at lest I think you are. Any how what do you think it would take to make a palsar star ? on world it would be like supper fast day/night shifts I've no idea how to work it into the space part but it would be cool yeah? not as cool as waves of course :pfff:. got to just love my spelling skills

    The day / night durations would be easy to mod, that's a setting in the biome or celestial config... I remember seeing it.
    Of course with radiation hazard on the world... I think one could mod the aurora parallax to be a cool radial gradiant and have it overlay the biome at all times.

    Of course coming up with the graphics for the pulsar itself would take a little ingenuity...

    That would be awesome hanging on a horizon...

    EDIT: Now that I'm thinking about it, it would need to be populated with Pulsar Worlds in order to get the right effect. The star doesn't confer any properties besides the Tier & celestial art. The biome hazards and aurora's are done on a planetary / biome level.
