This is the first implication I've gotten that it recognizes my mods I installed. Starbound comes up with an error saying I've been trying to modify the race selection screen (which I have) But it still isn't working; as in the mods haven't modified anything. Any suggestions?
These are the Mods I'm trying to use. I'll post a picture when the error comes back up. Here is the error:
Those aren't the errors you need to show. You need to check out your starbound.log http://community.playstarbound.com/...d-errors-fixing-most-problems-yourself.69198/
Well the 5 are in sequential order the one without the number is from your last game session the others are from the 4 before that. Either way when you get the error just check out the starbound.log then read my tutorial on how to decipher the error, so you will know how to fix it.,
Well, I'm sorry I'm an idiot but the log says I have NO ERRORS, just Warnings that I don't have an inventory item...is it because of Windows 8 none of the mods work? That's been a problem before...um, and I unzipped them...I don't see why none of them are doing anything...
If the mods are a modpak file You have to put them in starbound/mods if the mods are a pak file only (not a modpak) then each pak files goes in its individual folder
Well if you are complaining why none of the race mods work - that is because you never downloaded a character extender http://community.playstarbound.com/...d-character-creation-mod-now-even-easier.218/ All the race mods in their description would have said this is a mandatory requirement.
I got the Xbawks one, but I also installed the one on the link you just gave me and that one didn't work either...sorry I can't figure this out on my own. Oh! Do I still have to edit the bootstrap file? Because I heard somewhere I didn't but do I have to do that?
No bootstrap editing is no longer required. Are you sure those folders are not folders inside of folders?
Its probably a mod using old code. I suggest installing the mods one at a time. and checking each time Also as I said before - check your starbound.log not your runtime errors .Thats the reason that huge starbound.log tutorial was written.
I FIGURED IT OUT! Okay, so I found I guide that said make your own folder, so that's what I did, but that's NOT what I was supposed to do! Just put the original folder in the mod folder! It worked! Thank you SO MUCH for all your help! o(^▽^)o
