where i would love this mod i cant seem to get it to work i have added it to the correct folder but it just seems to not want to work i tried /spawnitem skillbookopen but this does nothing to help please help i would love to have this mod working

Love this mod. The weapons are pretty damn powerful at the highest tier, but honestly, there are tons of other powerful things in other mods too so I can't see that as a negative at all.
The techs are also pretty damn innovative. (Pssh, Wizard techs are the damn best) -

The inability to set Max level or how many points you get per level,
and lack of guidance as to where one could possibly find the various guardians and the like,
makes this mod only a 4 out of 5.
Everything else is AWESOME.
Having way to much fun with this mod.
The way it was made makes it feel like a part of the game.
Almost makes me wonder why it's not vanilla. Almost.-

Update 1.3 will add overleveling, which, while not exactly a choice to increase level cap or stats gained per level, will allow you to purchase scrolls, one of which gives you an extra stat!
Also, Guardians are in Vanilla Starbound, so I didn't think better guidance was necessary.

The mod itself sounds super fun. Too bad i can't get it to work. That damn book won't open by any means i also tryied spawning the item via the command you sugessted i only get a black ball and nothing happens.

Whoops, I was planning to respond to this, but it completely slipped my mind. Use Quickbar Mini (not my mod), and you'll be able to open the book using the extra UI option added.

Deeply in love with your mod, I do hope that eventually we get access to cross skills/techs, using a tech outside of it's class, even if it's weaker or nerfed or even more expensive to use.

If you reset your Class using the GUI (not the reset scroll) while in Hardcore mode and at Level 50, you will keep the techs you have, at the cost of having to level again.

Either craft the Mysterious Book through your [C] crafting menu, and use the item, or install Quickbar Mini, so that you can open it without the book.

If you want to see where to locate all the items, go to the Google Doc. Meteoric Metal is found in space encounters and always drop from a specific monster. You'll know when you see it :p
