The idea stems from the STARPUNK novels in which an alternative food resource is invented by the rearing of mindless udder tissue that produces immeasurable amounts of milk from basic nutrients to expand the menu of a spacebound civilization.
The milk farmed from the udders can be placed as a liquid or transformed at the cooking station to the usual milk package.
For long term storage such milk packages may even reverted to liquid milk.
