Note: Development for this mod has been discontinued for good since Starbound already allows players to teleport to the Outpost directly, through the use of the bookmarking system that was introduced since Glad Giraffe. Chucklefish is free to delete this mod if they wish.
Original description:
What this proof-of-concept mod does is that, once the ship's thrusters are repaired, it allows players to use the ship's teleporter to teleport to the Outpost directly, eliminating the need to visit the Ancient Gateways that orbit far out in each and every solar system (as seen with the No More Gateways mod).
