This mod is absolutely wonderful and has consumed all my time recently. The sprites, the clothing, the weapons, the ship, the lore, and everything else obviously have so much effort put into them. The only problems I have is not being able to enter the underground settlements because the door won't open, and not being able to find any Sandspitters. I assume this is because I'm also using Frackin' Universe and that's giving less chance for the special biomes to appear and for the specific mobs to spawn, but I cannot figure out why the door to the underground settlements won't open.

There's actually a second entrance to these underground settlements, one which is always open. When you're at the large vault door, head to the right until you find a stack of crates and some antennas. There's a cave entrance next to them which leads to the actual main entrance: the door above ground is actually the door into the colony's garage. And yeah, if you're using FU your chances of finding a Sandspitter decrease quite a lot... If you're just after the Sandspitter's Sack, you can actually purchase those from the Drifter in the Starfarer's Refuge!

Now that the issue I had with the mod has been fixed at my suggestion, This mod has earned it's 5th star from me.

Excellent mod that adds a whole new breath of life into starbound. New weapons, new mechanics, and most of all the intriguing races. Excellent little spawns across planets and settlements. This is a true gem among the race mods.

I'm glad you're enjoying the mod! An update containing a wide variety of fixes and new content will be coming soon! I'm now working on finishing up the last few things I've got planned for the update, and if all goes as planned, it should be ready within a week. No promises though - unforeseen issues could still delay my work...

Such a wonderful mod. This mod adds the content you see in other mods but this mod stands out with a new outpost, a unique weapons collection, and unique quests and rewards.
I would also agree this surpasses the avali mod. One thing to note on the cons side though is that finding the unique weapons can be a tiring grind, and I think the caches they drop from (especially Trink and Centensian) should be more common in the villages and ruins you find them in around a 1/3-1/5 chance instead of 1/10. 8.5/10 would recommend.

      Author's Response
I'll look into making the caches a bit more frequent, as they are a bit difficult to find sometimes. Don't want them to be too common, either, but a bit more frequent then they are right now wouldn't hurt!

Plays wonderfully, updates quickly, compatible with major mods, well-developed. Surpasses Avali mod in my opinion.

Incredible mod. I always find at least some evidence of the races on plenty of worlds. Best bet for my playthru is the grass and desert worlds, also winter. Currently running this mod with FU and Extra dungeons. I absolutely love how it all comes together and plays seamlessly. What a wild ride I had today in Starbound, first finding rogue Glitch, barely escaping that shoot out and walking a bit and find a sympathetic tribe of Trinks. Awesome add on, can't wait to see more stuff as I play. Great work!

i have one gripe with the mod, the ship engineer never spawned for me... is there any way to spawn him? just wondering because that would change this to a five star, great mod either way though 9/10 would reccomend
    1. Aegonian
      Author's Response
The mod's description is outdated in that regard, sorry! The Ship Engineer has been removed in v2.1.0, partially because there are now custom starter quests/story introductions, and partially because it would be strange to have a non-crewmember NPC on your ship now that crewmembers are actually a thing.

This is by far my fave race mod for Starbound! I picked it up a few days ago and have grown super attached to the Avikan. Can't wait to see all of your other races and their lore as well! c:

The race mod that took out the Avali.

No seriously. I am I-M-P-R-E-S-S-E-D with this. New armor, weapons, furniture and clutter is a common thing among race mods, but a whole new outpost with their own missions and characters? That's something you cannot compete with.

    10/10 My friend, totally speechless...

(The Droden legion terminal isn't working for some reason, might be a mod conflict-y thing?)
    1. Aegonian
      Author's Response
I doubt the issue will be related to a mod (in)compatibility, as the scripts and assets used for that terminal are completely new files. Would you be able to describe the issue in some more detail? What happens if you interact with the terminal - does the menu open correctly? Or is it the recruitment button that fails to work? If you could post your starbound.log in the mod's discussion page, that would be a great help in identifying the cause of the issue!

One of the, if not the, best race mods for Starbound so far. It's has complete features, vast armory, well-made settlements and Fleet, neat quests ( I really liked how monsters/npcs were seamlessly integrated into the quest generation). It even adds collections to new monsters and weapons. And so far little to no bugs. Congratulations!

Definitely worth five stars. It's awesome you updated this! It's so sad seeing older mods that so much work went into just fade away. Awesome job!!!
