What areas would you like to see in Stardew, and what would be in them?

Currently it's been revealed that you'll be able to hop on the bus and take a vacation to the desert, where you will be able to collect coconuts among other things. But if other areas you could travel to were available, what would you want to see? For me...

#1: Ocean Diving. This isn't so much a new area as allowing you to better explore current areas, though. Diving would allow you to descend into the ocean past the beach for a distance for as long as your character still has a source of oxygen and their stamina isn't too low. Running out of oxygen or stamina underwater means passing out for the day and waking up at the doctor's office, so it would be incredibly risky to go in without buying a good airtank and being well rested.

Diving purposes: Looking for sunken treasure, collecting seaweed for cooking, seashells for gifts or selling, rarely collecting pearls from oysters for crafting / gifts, seeking out underwater caverns for secrets or a water-themed dungeon, maybe even a sunken ship. Add sharks randomly generating in the ocean to make things especially risky.

#2: Island. Hop on a ferry and choose to sail out to an island, where you can gather up exotic plants, fish for rare exotic fish and maybe even purchase your own little tropical island home to decorate as a home away from home. Add in diving here and there's bound to be more to explore under the sea.

#3: Hunter's Forest. A forest not too far away from Stardew that you can access after buying a hunting permit, where you can used a bow and arrow or other ranged weapons to try and hunt deer, rabbits and other woodlan creatures for meat. You can also chop down trees here, in case you destroyed every tree in your own. Randomizes every day like dungeon, so you'll never run out of wood.

I would love to see a jungle-esque location as well as the island mentioned in your post and a previous post. A purely forest area with "sprites" would be nice as well =P have a nice creek running through it and some rare flowers/trees/herbs to collect along with some rare nuts and animals to find.

      Formal Outline

      1. Jungle - Hunting for exotic ingredients and animals
      2. Foothills/Forest - Camping, Foraging, and saving the land. Could add in a lost shrine to ancient powers that be and you need to figure out how to commune with them to save the town and nature.(wishful thinking)

I would love to see islands in SV. Maybe they could be procedurally generated, for a different experience each time.

Using the bus you should be allowed to go to the metropolis. There would be shops, fast food and maybe even casinos for gambling. Maybe your "parents" would live there and you could visit them.

I would like a mountain zone for mining with out going into caves as well as a chance to find exotic animals in mountain regions.

I am sorry if there is an area for this but are basements planned for your house.
If not,I think basements should be a choice when building your house.

A metal hell, similar to one of the Sonic games' factory levels, would be interesting-- or a skyscraper like the early-game FFVII mission against Shinra Tower, both of which allow for some impressive visuals and interesting level design.

The idea being that the big company in the game's story was doing some stupid research and their factory/skyscraper was infested with monsters, and a company insider has lured you in to deal with it before the situation becomes public.

It would provide a very stark contrast with the naturalistic setting of the rest of the game, and perhaps a sign of what is to come if you don't keep the farming village rural...

Of course, if the dev wants, they could even take it a step further by allowing you to take hydroponics concepts from the factory/tower and give your little homey farm an occasional minimalist hi-tech look yourself.

A land of dreams or something corny like that. Maybe as DLC or an update.
It'd be a good excuse to add whatever mobs the creator pleases... Heck it'd be a good excuse to add ANYTHING in.

Such as Rivers of rainbows or talking fishmen with top hats and mustaches.. Maybe it could serve an actual purpose too? Who knows!
