I got some new information. Bartwe believes that the beta won't be ready by Q1 2013!

pfffh Q isnt a real month!

 

So they don't think they will have a playable beta until after March this year? I know release schedules are victim to change often but now hearing that they won't have a beta version until that late in the year is disheartening, I only hope Bartwe is wrong.

well even as a pessimistic guess, its still pretty bleak. if even the beta isint ready by Q1, it means there is soooo much more to do that we might not even see the full game until Q4

 

yep and thats terrifying, i mean the beta shouldn't be/feel like the complete game it's a beta... you could let us test some parts of the game just to throw some cookies to the fanbase
the people wouldnt bother missing features or bugs if the idea of the game is convincing...

 

I can't say I'm surprised. As good as the game looks now, we all know there's a lot more work to be done before it's ready to be played.

 

Hopefully that development roadmap thing Tiy mentioned will be out soon and we can get a better perspective on things

I'll beta test. If only because I want to give money to the developers at the soonest opportunity, and get a feel for how immersive it is.

On a totally related note, isn't interstellar travel done via the space station? That would imply that the beta realm is limited to one planet. I only read to page 12 before posting.

 

Are those two seperate objects? I only woke up from a hibernation state recently, I may still be groggy.

 

It will be ready a year after the original release date.

Well I appreciate and adore your work, but I still hope that you are wrong, cuz man, do I wanna play SB

 

The beta will probably be a no-story-mode of the final game (thats why the Space Station won't be in there).

At least I would appreciate it if they keep it spoiler-free (well story-wise) and limit it to the early tiers of items, monsters and planets.
