Ok, i have reached my limit
for some reason, i am just to damn hyped for starbound
and everyday, i keep seeing more stuff about it.
    and jeez.
    i cannot hold it IN!
Is there any other addicting game to play?
i only have 2GB of ram. and it is very hard
to plat games like the binding of isaac.
So, can someone state some epic
2D indie games, that i can get addicted to?
because, im seriously going to explode because
ONE: I do not have starbound
TWO: I do not HAVE starbound
AND THREE: I do not HAVE STAR BOOOUND!

    ~Overly excited blast

RAM is actually a very simple problem, RAM is very cheap, and can be bought for laptops. I assume you own a laptop, the real issue is probably the graphics card. Laptops often use small integrated graphics cards with low power.

Zangoose is right. If you have a mainstream laptop, or one under US$500, it probably doesn't have the graphics capabilities for much gaming. You could increase this if you are on Windows and you turn all the GUI effects off, but it would likely be a marginal increase.

RAM is not the issue so much, and even if it were you could simply buy 4GB or 8GB of RAM for likely near US$50 - $80.

I got 4 GB of RAM for my old laptop for about 25 bucks on best buy

Indeed, I just checked tigerdirect and they have 4GB DD3 1333MHz for $30. Desktop prices are generally the same now, as well. And I suppose if Blast Red has a 32bit OS it doesn't make sense to buy 8GB anyway.

Have a trawl around the indie gaming sites. There are always little gems to be found there, and you'll be supporting the industry too.

I do not know how much space these take up, but they all can be addicting.
    1. Dwarf fortress - if you don't mind/like having your eyeballs screwed with this can be great
    2. Project Zomboid - A retro isometric zombie survival game
    3. Edge of Space - Similar to Starbound, but out
    4. FTL - Space combat rougelike
    5. Rogue/Nethack - THE dungeon crawlers (good luck winning either)
    6. Spelunky - Get through the cave system, get the treasure (features bombs and destructible environment) (Indiana Jones sim)

I could probably go on, but these ones are pretty cool.

If you need a quick fix try

Superfighters http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/575163 - Plays like an action movie
Counter Terror http://www.freeonlinegames.com/game/counter-terror - Clear the building of terrorists, rescue the hostages

Edge of space is very similar, but its in early alpha just now and you'll probably clear whats available in day.

Planet Explorers is a 3d game that Im enjoying, but quite resource hungry.

Spelunky... yea, im not into that really, not exactly an exploration game since you only get 2 minutes before ghost attacks.

I'd definatly reccomend 'Un-epic' if you like platform rpg's though.

Other than that.. do terraria in hardcore and get ready for its next big update :)

Not out out - it's currently in closed alpha for backers. It'll be a while before it gets to release.

One of the more playable alphas though. (alpha 0.53 is still available and public.)

er.. not really closed if you can just go on the site and buy it :)

I know its alpha.. but nowadays that doesnt really mean anything does it! hehe.. look at cubeworld

    Calris Existential Complex

Well, closed as in not public. :p

Yeah, as I said above (I probably edited while you posted) it's one of the more playable alphas that I've seen.

Actually, I'd suggest Don't Starve. It's cheap, highly replayable, and soul-crushingly difficult.
Other wise, I've been playing quite a bit of Teleglitch: Die More Edition, and Shadowruns Returns.

Oh, and just for the note, there has been a huge swarm of new Terraria mods the last months. I'd suggest looking into both Avalon (which revamps the game, tons of new weapons, armors, bosses, mobs and a new SuperHardMode) and getting a mod called Difficulty Adjuster. Me and some friends have a server, and it extended the playtime by oh so many hours. Been something around 35 hours and we're still not even past Hardmode.
