Race Glunaught

Sorta reminds me of a cross between a horse, a cicada, and a kiwi bird. It's rather unique looking, in any case. I like it.

I suggested the Darkbound be a Stretch Goal... but Ghostar had a point when she said she wanted the Darkbound to be in the control of its Creators... not the Starbound Devs...

I am expressing my unhappiness in that this got passed up for Novakids. Now this AND Novakids. That's an even number. Eight, instead of Seven.

 

Yeah but I am planning on buying another package and give it away the beta key and game and soundtrack to someone else.

Just outta curiosity, Nirn, if the devs approached you and told you they wanted to make the Glunaught an official Starbound race would you hand the rights over to 'em? I mean, it'd be awesome to see 'em in game as an official race, but no one knows the lore better than the one who created them. Not that I think the devs would intentionally screw it up or not credit you, but I was under the impression once you consent to letting your idea be added to the game Chucklefish claims the rights to it and can do whatever they want with it.

 

That is an excellent question.

I believe I would, i know I would sacrifice my rights to them but the ultimate goal of the Glunaught is to get into the game so that fans can fully enjoy them, and also for bragging rights. I'll edit that out. So if I had to give up the rights to them I would. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't pull a holly wood on me. Well as long as im still aloud to draw them.

However if they were added into the game and the devs were willing to compromise and let me over see their lore and maybe let me approve of the pixel works associated with their them. I would be much much happier. It would give me more to do, and if would be fun working with dead lines.

but yeah, I can have a much better answer after I see what goes on with the novakids. I am sure the devs will treat suggestions well, as artist them selves I'm sure the understand pride of authorship.

 

*Nods* I was just curious was all. The devs of Starbound have been pretty good about working closely with the community so I don't really see any reason why they WOULDN'T consult with you over the details if they decided to include the Glunaught in the game.

As far as I'm aware they're already speaking with the creators of the Novakid/Anodynes to figure out how they can merge the lore of the two races together so everyone's happy.
