Well, why not? I wanted to have a go at modding the game, and this seemed like the easiest outlet for something I could enjoy working on.

So, news from the guy I talked about, I managed, after fiddly-diddling around with accounts, to get to talk to him, and managed to. Essentially what he says is he just suddenly lost interest to talking to people, even his closest friend

From experience, he (or she) will continue to contradict you and fight your points in an attempt to get you to agree with their point of view. My personal suggestion for a course of action? It depends. If you really want to be friends, then keep fighting and refusing to accept their thoughts, tell them you care and keep telling them until it hits home, otherwise, if you're not too fussed, I wouldn't bother.

 

Welp, forgot to say I managed to convince him to not just disappear, didn't exactly go like you said, but thanks for the tips nonetheless

 

I've been in similar positions.

Maybe not want you want to hear but I don't think there is much you can do for someone in that mindset when you can only talk to them through a screen. If you keep beating your head against that brick wall you'll probably break before it does - and it would tend to make things worse than better overall. Keep at it, but don't be overbearing or try to force things.

Well, to be honest, it couldn't have gone better. I'll write the whole story sometime later, because I'm on my phone, but he really wasn't/isn't an unreasonable guy.

 

Well today apparently was one of the worst mass-shootings in the US.
50 dead and 53 injured in a Orlando gay-bar, the killer was believed to be linked with Islamic extremists, or believed the shooting was a hate-crime.
The shooter was shot dead by law enforcement.

 

I heard! So sad - many hugs to any and all affected by this tragedy :c
