I mean, I can get past the art (though it's improved a lot recently, though I still wouldn't call it amazing, very generic anime-esque style but it works).

The story though - the story is just all over the place. The characters are mostly really flat and 2-dimensional personalities and not a whole lot of character development occurs. The way everyone reacts to some of the situations that occur is completely asinine. There's some new, completely random thing completely out of left field every chapter as well.

lol flora is pregnant now because why not? Lol this random shipmate got made to look like a girl lets faff around with this subplot which goes nowhere for an absurdly long amount of time. Lol, a random ominous deity in a mask who possesses flora and is never seen again despite being implied as the main villain of the story. Lets watch all the main characters faff around on a boat for an eternity instead

I hate to put it so tersely but I felt like it just read like a porn comic which had no payoff and then had to keep retconning the plot well beyond its original scope so they could still keep writing pages.

 

the art improved, and...well, that's pretty much the only reason i read through it. i wanted to see how long it took to become "decent". it took longer than i expected.
and oh god boats ruin everything when they're introduced in any comic. don't put characters on a boat. don't. you might end up like Berserk. and you don't want to spend...how long was it? five-ten years?
five-ten years out of comic on a boat.

 

Funnily enough, the setting of the novel I plan to start writing is a massive colonial starship (modified to become a habitable city) floating on a somewhat Earth-like planet. But with much more water.
So... A giant metal boat city.
The entire story takes place on a boat.

Giant superstructure colony ships the size of city are anything but boats.

Yesterday when i was walking back home from town, some idiot on a dirt bike clipped my sweater and spun me around and i fell hard. Today i woke up and there is a bruise bigger than my hand on my thigh. Walking up stairs hurts so much with that ;~;
