Wyrd Order of Furries, ACT III

Eight pages in two days? Maybe I'm being a bit "kids these days", but I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Anyway, in Morrowind I just spent half an hour escorting a single, unnamed Khajiiti slave halfway across Molag Amur to free her. Visibility of maybe 100 meters due to the dust. Facing off against cliffracers, daedra and various wild animals. The amulet-based spell I used to make her follow only lasts 30 seconds, so I had to keep casting it while the charge held out. But we made it from Galom Daeus (Dwemer ruins turned into a vampire lair, where she was kept as cattle to the point where her character name is 'Cattle') to Saturan (bandit cave near Suran). There I freed her, and like all slaves, she disappeared from the game and will never be seen again. (Except one slave who remained, probably due to a glitch. Funnily enough, he's still there in Saturan last time I checked.)

For those of you unfamiliar with the game, you can only free slaves if there is a slave key in the location where they are kept. If there's no key, you can't free them... unless you use a command spell to make a slave follow you to a location that does have a key. In some cases this can just mean over a hill, but the distance can be far greater if there's no suitable location nearby.

 

Oh, you're right. The life of one, poor woman kept against her will in a dank Dwemer ruin in the middle of nowhere just so vampires can drink her blood is totally not worth it.

I've finished the main quest in Morrowind, so I've already saved the world. Everything else is extra credit.

No, you don't have to do that. Relax.

 

So? Just reign it in, instead of completely cutting ties. I will glomp you if it means keeping you here.
