As you probably know, wall levers already receive inputs that cause it to switch, which is incredibly useful. That property is missing in most other switches however. I feel that adding input receiver to most toggleable switches would be a great help in many wiring projects. For example, it would make it possible to have a fingerprint scanner deactivate itself after a bit, rather than stay online indefinitely.
