What is Leah wearing?

Looking at Leah's sprite, I can't tell if that is her belly or if that is her belt.

I always thought that she was wearing a crop top, but looking at it I suppose it could be a belt.

 

Yea, I think the belt is just brighter on the sides and that's why it looks like skin.

 

Yeah im pretty sure thats skin. at least thats always how ive interpreted it

 

Except in front view, where it looks darker, it has the exact color and shading as her skin. Also she wears suspenders, which I think wouldn't make sense to use together with a belt. So I see it as her belly.

Looks like a Lederhose to me, something of that sort.

 

If you do a Google image search, the vast majority of artists depict it as a crop top and suspenders.
