Weird lag problem

    Hey guys,
    So recently bought this new laptop, which is a huge improvement from my old laptop. But for some reason, while trying to play starbound, I have like 20 fps. This is my laptop: http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/series/aspirevnitro

    So, as you can see, I should be able to Run starbound, easily. Please help me!

    Which one do you have in detail? What are your detailed specs? The link you provided doesn't provide the needed information.

    Your graphic card should be fine running starbound (i have a 750 ti and the specs are nearly the same). It seems that you're suffering from that cpu core cap. Starbound doesn't use all cores of your cpu (i've read somewhere that it's 2 cores that are used) and 2.20 Ghz could be too low for only 2 cores to handle starbound properly. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do instead of waiting for a patch that provides a better usage of all cores.

    Multiplayer would be a solution if it's really about the cpu load.
