Explosives, so some crazy laser-guided super drilling machine

 

Hello all, I am Galactic Mindswipe, the inside corp specialist. As you know, I have a politics thread, and run it currently and we are discussing things currently. Also, the fight with Casmo Jojo ((Kasimer VanKrieg)) has stopped, and he now works for KS again.

 

Get the ultimate terraforming device, a nanobot swarm. Just set how you want the world to look, drop the pod on the surface, and come back sometime later in game time and poof, your desired world.

 

But doesn't that ruin the point of mining?

 

Time is money, when you have more important matters you don't have time get your hands dirty.

 

True but I enjoy wasting time and getting my hands dirty.
Means I can have a shower when I get home.

I just don't like small bots after watching the day the earth stood still.
Kinda creepy...

 

They would of course be difficult to get/make. Also imagine this, a mod built around that one specific way of terraforming. Environmental destruction activists, rivals for resources, etc all would attempt to stop you using them or attack you. A warning would sound and you'd have a time limit to return to that planet to defend the progress or pirates would suddenly happen to hear about your influx of resources and raid your base. All kinds of fun stuff.

I doubt a mod like that would get made focusing on one specific thing, but the possibility is cool as well as just imagining the outcomes.

I'm assuming this will be out every friday. Speaking of, I need to look around a bit.

 

It'll be out whenever there's sufficient news.

After release, I plan to do weekly, full of all the fun goodies that come with gameplay.

Yeah... one of the major bad points...
