How about a vanity item that transforms you into an animal until you enter combat or take the item off? I think being viborb would be pretty awesome.

Well, actually, I was imagining a bow-tie to simply on the front of a fez. However, a propeller-powered-fez like the one you described would be quite awesome. Although for such a thing to exist, it would be most logical for it to be some type of upgrade, since it sounds more like a "tech" item IMO.
