Eden holds the arrow tight and sprints toward the ship, regretting only that they couldn't collect a soil sample. They stop in their tracks.
Tau quickly changes direction. "Worry. The enemy has the high ground. The nearby sources of cover are highly risky."
The downed USCM trooper draws his assault rifle and begins firing into the horde of crocowolves, holding his ground.
Nefarious waits for everyone to get in front of him. He watches closely to make sure nothing sneaky was going on. He then heard a large Fwoop. Arching his head towards the direction would cause he jaw to drop. "We have no other choice but to run fast or take fight to them!"
"There's a cave network beneath this ground! We need to get into the ship!" Isaac begins running for it.
Eden says to themself, "Damn it.." They get a sizeable distance away from the USCM trooper and aim for the closest crocowolf's head.
Tau stops running and chooses the latter. He pulls the shotgun from his back and plugs the pressure-gun into his shoulder. He faces the crocowolfs.[DOUBLEPOST=1447022628][/DOUBLEPOST] He fires at a crocowolf, crippling it. He slowly falls back towards the ship.
Isaac dives into the ship, but Mitch and the soldiers stay fighting. "Don't be cowards! We can take them!"
Ten meters away from the shuttle, Tau stops. He faces the enemy once again. "Advising. Sergeant Johnson, fall back."[DOUBLEPOST=1447022944][/DOUBLEPOST]Tau fires at another advancing crocowolf. The shot kills the creature.
Meanwhile, the ship is still sinking. "No way, if enough of us stay together we can do this! Let the cowardly gasbags suffocate underground!"
Eden slams into the nearest seat, looking at the comrade that made it in. They pull out their notebook and slip the arrow between the pages. "That was royally messed up. I would have liked to study the soil. Maybe the caves will be more interesting."
"Trust me! I know when the odds of battle are in my favor or not, and with your help, we can pull this off!" There's only a small entry left into the ship before it gets sucked totally underground. Probably enough time left for only one or two more people. "This is not going according to plan, Six said..." Isaac cuts himself off when Eden makes it inside.
Nefarious ran towards the group by the ship. "Croco things angry, we should get in ship. I make opening bigger if like."
"Considering... This is going to be difficult." Tau, with great speed, charges towards the front lines, gunning down a crocowolf on the way.
One of the USCM soldiers says "Fuck this!" He slides into the ship and it finally sinks under. "Let's do this!" Mitch pulls a grenade out of one of his pockets and throws it into a crocowolve's throat. It explodes and blood rains from the sky. Another crocowolf leaps at Nefarious. Isaac nods his head slightly, and stares at the newcomer that just made it on board. "What?"
