Unable to give gifts

I've been giving Leah gifts twice a week for several seasons but after installing the beta, no matter how much time goes by, it continues to say that I've already given her two gifts this week and can't give her any more. I had given her two gifts the week I installed the beta, but once the new week started it continued to say that I had already given her two gifts this week. I haven't been able to progress the relationship at all as a result. I tried uninstalling the beta, but that erased my entire game file, and I had to reinstall to get all my progress back. I don't know if anyone else is having this problem.

It should be noted that this is not in a co-op game, this is my original game file which I started before installing the beta.
