This computer is driving me nuts

 

To the extent of my knowledge, most of the drawing/editing programs have some sort of backup system, which allows you to open some of your recent files in case you forgot to save them/crashed. That's the case with GIMP 2.0, at least.

 

I use Krita and it autosaves a lot so me computator can crash and not burn my drawing!

 

I use paint tool sai. (I draw stuff using the mouse , so, its better for me )
It does not autosave though :/

 

GIMP has something similar to what you might be having in Sai. It has a function called smooth stroke. It's really handy when using a mouse like you and I. Granted, I use GIMP mostly to edit my paper drawings, so our experiences may vary.
