In response to your question as to whether or not there should be more lore friendly foods i honestly think that would be an extraordinary idea. On the note of lore friendly foods, I personally use the Novakid race mod and it would be interesting to see custom race supported foods too. You could honestly come up with your own foods for some of the races. Something with worms for the Avians, Banana related foods for the Apex, some kind of weird computer like foods for the Glitch, maybe even add fish for the Hylotl. I don't know if its possible but adding health regeneration when eating certain foods would be interesting to see.

 

Sounds great! I'd be more than happy to add food for mod races, and yes health regeneration and other effects are possible to add to foods.

 

I am Glad you like my suggestions. I would also like to offer my services in helping you with the mod. I'm about to start up my own mod if time permits it, and i would appreciate any experience i could get in modding.

I haven't been able to play much lately, but this mod, provided the foods are balanced, would be a fantastic addition to the game.

Now, a few criticisms.

First, there is no point to adding an Apple food. There are actually TWO different kinds of Apples in vanilla Starbound, both simply lacking a way to access them. They are the Green Apple (itemName: "greenapple") and the Red Apple (itemName: "redapple").

Second, these should be part of the PB+J mod, as they require the mod:

You can still encourage the user to download the other mod because it adds more foods.

Whoah lots of text! I only added the apple because its not able to get in vanilla that I know of yet, when it is it will be replaced.
I'm keeping the additional PB+J required recipies for now, But I might add them to the PB+J mod later..
Also I've been meaning to organize the foods better, but I've mainly been focusing on adding new ones. :s

Ah, you left some duplicate files in again. Removing "/morefood" folder inside of your mod was enough to fix it. I believe you left a copy of the older version of your mod inside of the zip.

It looks like your seeds are not showing in the Tabula Rasa anymore after that last update. It seems that you're missing the keyword "mod" in the "groups" section of your recipes.

I'll get to the bottom of this.. eventually..

I'm getting really freaked out, the file seems to be completely gone! I'm sure of it..

 

Well it reversed some progress, however I think I can revive this update.
