Bug/Issue Sudden black screen with sound and HUD

Tablet: iPad Pro 4th generation
OS: iOS 13.4.1

Issue:
When playing, the main window will suddenly turn black - it doesnt not seem to be related to sleeping. It has happened twice as of writing: once while felling a tree and another time while walking from the bus station to the town.

The HUD and sound keeps working despite the game screen being black. I can open the Journal as well as the menu with tabs for crafting, social, map, etc. The left side inventory bar is also shown.

I have tried searching online for others with the same issue, but it always seems to relate to saving. I can close the game and open it again and continue playing. But it's definitely a bit annoying that it keeps doing it.
