(Steam) Stardew Crashing on Startup

I am having an issue that I have seen other users having, but none of the fixes tried by others seem to work.

Stardew is crashing whenever it is run from steam. There is no error message and nothing seems to happen when "Play" is clicked. On steam it simply says "Running" and then "syncing" and then nothing happens.

Fixes I have tried:
Uninstalling Stardew
Verifying Files
Installing XNA and full restart
Uninstalling Steam completely and reinstalling
Plugging in a USB headset
Installing SMAPI

After trying the last fix (installing SMAPI) I finally get an error of some kind.




Any ideas?

 

In case you still need help, that error might mean an issue with your GPU or graphics drivers. You could try reinstalling your drivers, and possibly installing AMD Radeon Software or NVidia GeForce Experience (whichever is applicable).
