Any feedback about the story or other things is welcome, this is my first RP and I'm a newbie in those things. When humanity went to the other stars, they encountered many alien species. The problem was that the deep space travel was too long, it was taking decades to go on another star system and diplomacy was impossible. But, one day, an alien race came to Earth with a strange mineral: the adrelith. The adrelith is used to power up hyperdrives who can travel across thousands of light years in only a few seconds. Soon, the humanity was joining the other empires in space, spreading on multiples planets. But one day, a war broke between two big empires and by the game of alliances, all the galaxy went at war. The war was terrible and billions of people died in each empire. When the war stopped, the Organisation for Galactic Peace was created. The OGP should prevent any other Great Galactic War. For decades, the OGP stopped all the conflicts peacfully. But in the Aktis sector, the United Empires of Glab are preparing for war. The sector is inhabited by four empires: The United Empires of Glab is the name of a gigantic federation lead by the Empire of Glab. They are the most powerful empire of the sector and also the most warlike. They were first unified during the Great Galactic War, when the Empire of Glab decided to invade the numerous empires who were all around it. The Empire took almost all the sector but was stopped at the Aramathi Merchant League who was at this time named the Aramathi United Nations. They were driven back by the Amarathis and their allies. Fearing about loosing everything, they offered peace after a few defeats and a lot of their conquests were separated from the Empire. The Aramathis, a race of peaceful humanoid foxes forming the Aramathi Merchant League are the master of the trade routes of the sector. During the Great Galactic War they were called the Aramathi United States and were member of the United Trade League who was ruling all over the majority of the trade routes of the galaxy. When the war began, they helped their allies of the League to fight ther ennemies but the League was pacifist and never attacked the first. But the United Empires of Glab decided to strike on the Aramathis. The Aramathis called for help and the League helped them to drive back the ennemy. The League was destroyed during the Great Galactic War and the Aramathi United States became the Aramathi Merchant League. Now, they try to be in good terms with everyone. And they are. The Kano Community, a race of humanoid ants, is the most powerful military power of the sector behind the UEG. The Kano Community was once a mono-planet empire. They've been invaded by the Empire of Glab during the Great Galactic War but were quickly liberated by the United Trade League. After its liberation, the Kano Community went at war to invade the other small empires who were liberated by the League. Now that they have a big territory, they don't have to fear the United Empires of Glab anymore. The Kano Community now have one goal: Destroy the Empire of Glab and it is ready to do anything to achieve it. Ethis. Ethis is the the name of a world spaceship inhabited by human nomads who harvest asteroids to sell their ressources. Nobody know why they came to the Aktis sector after the Great Galactic War, the only thing we know is that they've probably been members of the United Trade League due to their strong friendship with the Aramathi Merchant League. The OGP don't really know about the sector. They usually gather informations via the New United Trade League but the Aramathi Merchant League don't want the League o come in the sector, they probably fear to lost their trade routes. To prevent a war between the UEG and the other empires, the OGP sent a ship and his crew to find the problem but the ship mysteriously disapeared. Another group have been sent to recover the lost crew. The players will play as the members of the rescue team. Here is how you character sheet must be: Name: Nickname: Specie: Describe the specie you belong to. Gender: Appearance: What do you look like? (post a picture if you have one) Story: Where do come from? What was your job before joining the OGP as a crew member? Traits:
Just a few things. #1 This sounds like a great start for an RP, but I'd like a little more story behind just what was the problem sparking the war, like a presumptuous reason, and maybe some written relations between these empires, just for a feel of the whole situation. #2 In the Character sheet, you ask for Name, then First name, I just assumed you meant the characters name and NickName but I think some people might be confused about it.
1)This is the main problem: Nobody knows the problem. You're right ffor the empire's relations, gonna add more text about this. 2) I was first asking for the first name and the name but I now realise that knowing the character's name doesn't have a repercussion about the RP and the relation between the characters and the NPC. I'm going to change this to Name, then Nickname, you're right. Anyway, thanks for you're feedback
1.it would be nice if we could actually be part of one of the factions instead of the ogp since no one wants to be a boring peacekeeper(which the starbound story has proved so far) 2.the factions should probably be somehow connected to each other for example the trade league will always lean in favor of the ethos and Kano not the glab(it also sounds a bit weird but that's more of an opinion) And 3.adrelith sounds like something that is important to the story and should be included as something more important and a kickstart to hyperspace technology.
