@KaciiDubs Verify your content files and then see if the errors have stopped. That kind of morass of errors is usually due to XNB mods and is why XNB modding is depreciated.

Hi, whenever I put fish in the new Fish Pond and go to sleep to save, my game crashes. All my mods are up to date and I'm not sure what's wrong. It says: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at StardewValley.Buildings.FishPond.dayUpdate(Int32 dayOfMonth)
Could anyone help me?

@lum.inox I haven't gotten any ponds yet, but my understanding is that you put a fish in (one you don't mind losing), then empty the pond and refill with the fish you do want to use.

You probably somehow got an invalid fish in there. Add a sacrificial fish and then empty pond, and it will delete the invalid fish and fix your pond.

@Inalleon , you have the same issue as Niko does. Try the fix Wingyl mentioned: place any fish in the pond and then empty it. Please post back and let us know if this fixes the issue.

@Merryberry That doesn't appear to be the full log, but that error is from changes in Stardew 1.4. Did you update Custom Furniture to the newest version?

I did update CF. I even pulled it and downloaded a clean copy to see if that helped, but it still keeps giving me the same error.

 

i know about some of my cp mods not working (new 1.4 clothes update messed with my clothes haha) but after the 1.4 update i'm getting errors about portraiture and jsonassets that weren't there before and i don't know how to fix it. if anyone has some time to help me figure out what i messed up on, that would be great! thank you haha

OK, that's definitely an incompatibility between CF and the newest stardew version then. If you've got the newest version, it should be reported to the mod author, including the log link.

 

Will do, it was a new fish pond and a sunfish that we put into it. kind of odd it's causing an issue.

It's a surprisingly common issue. I don't even know if it's due to a mod or not; it might be vanilla.

I also have a couple other mods that didnt go in the mods folder, like the umbreon cat replacement, Mermaid replaces mariner, the stardew valley girls by adarin and the dialog replacement by KeionDryke, No more bowlegs, More Hairstyles by pencilstab and i think thats all

 

Hi there, I am also having the issue where saving after putting a new fish in the pond crashes my game. I tried a number of different fish and they all broke the game.

However I can confirm that using a sacriFISHal fish before emptying the pond does indeed solve the issue.

 

Hi, I'm not entirely sure what's going on. Everything seems to be updated and I'm pretty sure I've got everything installed correctly. I don't have any issues throughout the day, yet whenever I go to sleep, the game crashes.
