I find this helpful when farming and decorating, and thought I would share. It is a very simple mod that displays a grid overlay on the game screen, showing each tiles bounds. This mod requires that SMAPI 0.37+ be installed. Place DisplayGrid.dll into your Stardew Valley / Mods folder. Toggle the grid on and off by pressing the F3 key.
Unfortunately, no. The grid lines are part of the game itself and already present, I simply made a mod that allows turning them on and off. It was probably a debug feature that was never intended for the end user.
You'll have to be more specific. Did you install the latest version of SMAPI, put DisplayGrid.dll in your Stardew Valley / Mods folder, then run the game using StardewModdingAPI.exe? Did the mod load when the game started? Are your other mods working? Are you pressing F3 to turn the grid on and off? Etc....
i loved this mod but im getting the feeling everyone is starting to jump ship from SMAPI and going to storm, will we see a update for this mod for storm or are we s.o.l. for the time being?
this mod works by directly editing one of the game variables. This goes against Storm design, any mods that directly edits the game aren't allowed. (the bad, is that some mods, like this one, can't be ported, the good is that theoretically mods will break the game less and conflict less)
this is the best thank you! I was having such a hard time spending ages counting the red blocks at my farmer moved around...
Since this mod dev sort of disappeared, and I needed it on my sprinklers mod, I wrote a grid feature for my sprinklers mod (it also uses F3 button) And I added the option to change grid colour on the config file (default is a light blue) http://community.playstarbound.com/threads/smapi-configurable-improved-sprinklers-2-0.108847/
It doesnt work for me. I can see my FPS on the top left if press F3 but nothing else happens. Edit:Nvm it works
@SuaveSunlight You can either install the the 7zip'ped archive that ZeroByDivide posted via SVPM: http://community.playstarbound.com/...07-with-save-backup-and-xnb-image-merge.3582/ ..or extract the folder and place it in C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\StardewValley\Mods
