Skills in stardew valley

Hi, I’m playing stardew valley on an Xbox one. I’m new to the game and didn’t know you have to pick between two skills. Unfortunately I choose farmer over gatherer. Is there anyway to change the skill so my gaming experience would be more to my liking? I know you can change it on PC but can I hack into it or something because I never sell wood.

 

Yes there is a way to change it but you have to unlock the sewer area first. There you will find a statue where you can change a profession but you have to pay 10,000g. (You will unlock the sewers after you have donated 60 items to the museum) Hope this helps!
