13-year-olds are the only people that feel the need to brag about the sex they've had (or think they had) or even post about sex usually in the first place. I'm 20, and I think sex in starbound is unnecessary. I wouldn't hate it if it were in the game, but I wouldn't hate it if it were out of the game either. What happens behind closed doors isn't too important and is usually implied. Sleeping, going to the bathroom, sex, etc.

However nudity must be in the game so I can skinny-dip.

 

Implying you can't have so-called "sex" by being naked and doing squats on someone who is lying down dead from an Avian arrow to the head.

 

Crouching is in the game?

Also, by that logic, I can have sex in minecraft.

Hell, by that logic, I can have sex in almost every game.

How about instead of sex, we go for a classy Fallout/Elder Scrolls thing where the screen fades out and in? Just show the characters like... get close and then fade out.

Honestly sex in a single-player game like that is fine, but in a multiplayer it'll lead to some seriously creepy mechanics...

Also, calling it now, someone will hack it to make it so not both parties are willing...

 

Or you know. We could have none.
