Modding Help Removing blood effect

Hi, I'm trying to mod out the blood effect, but I can't seem to edit any of the games effects assets. I found the blood file under the effects folder, but any time I alter it and place it in the mods folder or assets folder the game crashes without any error report.

Any ideas?

 

If you want to edit a vanilla game file, then you should create a patch. Here, this is a patching tutorial.
