Regarding Release & Beta, What You Should Know.

I'd rather you guys not have to wait! Still, its only a few days to 2013, lets enjoy christmas!

At this point I'm starting to doubt there will ever be a pubic beta. They seem to have the game engine running smooth and well, and the tweets from tiy seem to imply they are just adding features(cooking and farming and what not) rather than finding bugs and testing stability.

I guess February can still be considered early 2013? Beginning of March?

 

They have a (very) private beta with friends and family going on right now, so they're doing both at the same time. They just don't tweet about fixing bugs and whatnot.

 

No? I seem to recall Tiy tweeting about releasing beta as a pre-order reward. Don't get me wrong, I've lurked here for quite some time so I've known about the private beta and all that jazz. What I meant was simply that the pre-order and beta access seems less likely.

no beta... no news... no release date... no nothing, not even a december wallpaper! This is crap!

We're aiming for early 2013. That's as much of a release date as you're likely to get anytime soon.
As for the December wallpaper-- it's coming. Fetal said to tell you guys it'll be posted very early January. Christmas/IRL stuff got in the way!

As for the beta-- nobody ever promised you a beta. Not every game has a public beta, and their purpose is to work out bugs/kinks before a game is released, not allow you to get your hands on the game before it's ready. That said, we're looking at preorder betas as an option, but there's no guarantee of that yet.

 

Oh thats exciting. Any hint as to what the December wallpaper looks like.

 

I just want them to make the game into something wonderful, and I don't care how long it takes for them to do it right.
