Set of hats designed after popular hats from the Ragnarok Online MMORPG, including names and descriptions of the hats to match the ones from the game.

    2 versions
    • Content Patcher - configurable vanilla hat replacements
    • Json Assets 1.2+ - adds hats to Hat Mouse shop without replacing vanilla hats (special thanks to infectmeinjectme!)

    Installation (Content Patcher)
    1. Install the latest version of SMAPI.
    2. Install Content Patcher.
    3. Download the CP version of this mod and unzip it into Stardew Valley/Mods.
    4. Open config.json in a text editor to enable/disable specific hats by setting "true" or "false".
    5. Run the game using SMAPI.

    Installation (Json Assets)

    1. Install the latest version of SMAPI.
    2. Install Json Assets 1.2+.
    3. Download the JA version of this mod and unzip it into Stardew Valley/Mods.
    4. Run the game using SMAPI.
    NOTES (Content Patcher):
    • Name/description changes do not affect hats that currently exist in the world! It only affects newly created hats.
    • If a hairstyle change is being forced in 1.0.2, or if some hats are not the same appearance as they used to be after a file update, spawn a new version of the hat, either by re-purchasing it at the Hat Mouse shop or using CJB Item Spawner and searching for the respective hat.
    NOTES (Json Assets):
    • It seems that Json Assets 1.2+ (unofficial update) does not currently support hat names when using a language other than English. Hat names will appear as "true" or "false." Unfortunately, this is not something I can fix.

Wait a minute - how do I get it so the hairstyle doesn't change with the hat?

@Kuriiyo Which hairstyle are you using, and with which hat are you experiencing issues with?

The succubus horns, and it was a custom hairstyle - is that the issue?

Ah, no, I see the issue. It's not so much a custom hairstyle issue as it is a hat issue in the vanilla, un-modded game. What happens is that the way some of the hats work in vanilla (particularly the full-coverage hats), forces a more "hat-friendly" hairstyle so that bigger, poofy, or spiky hair doesn't poke out the sides. That's why you see the hairstyle change when you wear the horns, which replace a full-coverage hat.

Looking carefully back on the replacements, I see there are a couple other hats that will behave the same way. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with a way to prevent the hairstyle change, but I'll see what I can do to rearrange some of the hats, in order to work around it.

Don't worry too much about rearranging them. I was just curious more than anything, though maybe there is some way to prevent the hair from changing? I'm not too familiar with modding myself, so I have no idea.

Thank you for this! My farmer had always default to Tropiclip because IMO the other hats were too big and not very pleasing to the eye. It's winter in my game atm and I'm wearing a Beanie, so cute! <3
