Bug/Issue PC - Controller Suddenly Bugging Out

I've been playing with my Xbox One controller for days, but just today it started having issues.

My controller either has problems being detected or is immediately disconnected upon being recognized.

If it does stay connected for more than a few seconds, the cursor either locks to the right or left of the screen and I can't move it with my controller nor the mouse.

I've tried restarting the game and Steam but neither has fixed the issue.

 

@OpalWysty Have you tried rebooting your computer? Try different USB ports, too. I've had this issue before, but a reboot fixed it.
