    well yeah, im fine with it having a melee weapon. if it could just have been more "in-character" to the robot compared to the hylotl and floran weapon

    I'm so impressed. This is the first wallpaper that I really like (though I did like the others too), and the first time I've liked how a Robot looks. :)

    One possible answer: because they are savages. A sizeable portion of humanity holds their instinctive side very dear.

    Others: I dunno, they just look cool. I mean, they're humanoid plants, they're genderless and flowers grow out of their heads. Even when I'm an Avian fan, I have to admit Florans are simply too weird not to like them.

    Ditto on the Robot. I hadn't even realized they were sort of Medieval until this wallpaper. Didja notice the sword on his tabard has a plug on it?

    that's because I based it off the medieval times, which is what I assumed their culture is based off of. Futuristic-looking weapons don't appeal to me when I let him equip it, and honestly, he was originally supposed to be holding a gun.

    I also wanted a more "primitive" feel here. No advanced technology. Just early tools of our past.

    Ha, didn't notice that. Amazing attention to detail there.
    What I did notice is that the Hylotl has only four fingers while the Floran and Robot have five. I wonder if this is canon?

    I like the Hylotl just fine, always had a fascination with aquatic species. It's the triple eyes that I don't like.
