Bug/Issue Multiplayer "connecting" indefinitely

When I try to use my desktop computer to play Stardew Valley Co-Op it will say "connecting" indefinitely instead of letting me invite people or showing me my invite code
If I try to join a game it will eventually say "connection failed"
If I use my laptop it works just fine
Is anyone else having this issue? I tried installing Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 but that changed nothing as well

 

I'm having the same issue, been trying to play with my boyfriend since patch 1.3.13 or so with no success. Running Windows 8.1 & he has Win10
