Mech Energy pickups now 100% solid?

    its been so long since I last played starbound (last I played there were no mechs) so I'm not sure if the energy pickups now unable to phase through walls is part of an update or is it a bug since the mod Extra Dungeons adds some space encounters where there are breakable energy canisters and will result now something like this
