That's what I mean tho. Couldn't a Hylotl be the journalist? .
Why the obviously less special race has to be the ordinary journalist .
Surely every race has all types.
So if those are not the main or only characters of each race then it's fine.

Why does it matter that this guy is a journalist vs. some other race?

 

No, I haven't .
It just doesn't seem all that interesting personally ( To have the human as the journalist, and the badass-guy to have such a "badass-guy" attitude, I don't know).

Well,Hiraki Corale is a famous adventurer referred to numerous times in the lore books, other famous escapades being one of the few to have survived the avian rites of ascension (since they had a jetpack ).

Great, Charlton's returned! The Agaran's seemed pretty damn hostile though....

 

They didn't attack first...

 

Not nessecarily. let's think about what we've seen so far:

- Charlton is alarmed by what he sees in the caves
- Charlton walked into the cave and passed out , unclear if he bludgeoned by the agarans or simply overcome by fumes.
- Hiraki tried talk to them, but it growled, prompting them to hide and plot their demise.
- Both ponder how they can "escape" without verifying the Agaran are actually hostile.
- Hiraki lit the fuse and then knocked them senseless, initiating hostility unilaterally.
- Hiraki kills all of them in explosion.​

 

I suppose so.

 

The question is: When is "first"?

Did the Agarans attack Hiraki before she knocked one of them out?
Did Hiraki witness them murdering the other Hylotls?
Did Hylotls do something to aggravate the Agarans in the first place?

Still, nobody knows the answer and the 'are Agarans evil/good/rather nice' -debate continues...

 

First in this context is the application of the comic right before us.

In which case, they didn't attack first.

 

That very first panel with Hiraki, I genuinely thought for a moment she was a Floran, design and all.

This seems to tell a different story about Hirake than the codices, less of a bumbling fool with surprisingly good luck and more of a cool headed action hero, interesting.

 

Guys lets not jump to 'Intergalactic Terrorism' conclusions. From what Hikari says, it sounds like they attacked first, as she tried to be peaceful first but things went sour. Her contact also never appeared, possibly devoured or infected, perhaps one of the Floran's Charlton spotted, or the Hylotl? (Assuming the Hylotl wasn't Hikari)

 

You say not to jump to conclusions and then proceed to jump to conclusions in the opposite direction.
