Bug/Issue Lost swords

Since i start when i dig some cave o die my items stay in the same place in the planet, when i upgrade my ship at first i decided move my things to a planet, so i just broke boxes and there was no more space for my collection sword (then i saving to sell after) i left the sword on ship and organize my bulilding. when i backed there was no there, i suspect the pinguin (joking). but seriosily do you think this is a bug or i just was dumb ? anyway is a chance to back to a old save or i just lost it ? and i shoud sand this to chucklefish ?
