Is it server friendly ?
I don't know. It doesn't add or change any assets, however I don't know if servers are sensitive to core changes with how light behaves for any given player.
I wont risk it then. Thanks.
Planning on adding it in my modpack, just need to run more tests. Coming out in 2 more versions.
I love this, this combined with a glowing ore mod is quite usefull though.
imagine the spoooky houses
Cool. Be aware that a change like this isn't really loved by the casual gamer.
Heh, filthy casuals. I don't care about them. JK.
If you do, just add a glowing ore mod to it- it'll shut them up.
This is an awesome mod, but it would be even cooler if you didn't have x-ray vision at all *wink wink* *nudge nudge*.
Meaning everything can only be seen if it's in your line of site? I like that. Not sure if a kind of "fog of war" sight is possible.
If it is possible it will take a real modder with more technical know how than me to implement.
I don't know the only way I can think that would somewhat work is if it was an item that only provided light to your front and made it dark to your back, but I don't know that would be a cool mod.
Could you add a before and after picture. I really want to see the changes.
Yeah, one image does not fully show what it does
lol sure. It just does what it says that it does though. Light will no longer infiltrate more than a single layer of any material. The pictures I added I hope will give you a good idea of what this looks like, though you'll have to play with it to really know how it effects your game and the atmosphere.
What this means in terms of game play is that flashlights can no longer be used to look for ore through the ground. Also, monsters will often be hidden around corners while underground or on the other sides of the wall in unlit buildings.
