so i was thinking of a good "Decay" ability for gerald
i immediately thought of the slime mold- when it breeds, it stops moving and produces these stalks
so his ability could be to sorta go still, and send out a shittonna spores that infect people with, well, him. wherein he can slowly digest people from the inside, but his normal body is frozen for the entire process
