So i was considering adding a race to the game but there are some scripting issues that i figured i would want to look into before attempting it. what i want to know is if there is a way to fine tune the death and re spawn behavior of a player character. i am planning on a body snatching type of mechanic but i need to set it up so if the host dies the player can be placed directly on the planet and given the opportunity to possess another NPC. of course it can still be killed in it's natural form. i was wondering if this is possible using the existing scripting API or if this is something that would require massive editing of core game files.
