My first question is how many weapon types are there and what are they? Will classes be limited to certain weapon types?
Players don't find specific weapon types in the game, whatever weapon you use is defined by your heroes skin that you selected. Some skins use axes, spears, swords, etc. Weapons you equip just have stat boosts and other unique attributes, so it could be +50 Damage or +10% Resist Physical, etc.
In this game, don't think of gear as actual physical pieces that you put on, think of them as more of enhancers to what you have by default. Any gear can give any buff really, like you can get a weapon with plus health and a necklace with plus damage. And then you can also use gems with gear pieces you craft to give literally any buff you have the gems for. Gear is really interchangeable and makes for creative and unique builds.
