When the download hyperlink broke so you have to use Inspect to grab the file URL

 

I'm sure what he meant to say was something like "Since the download link on the original post is broken, here's the address: http://helmet.kafuka.org/sbmods/StarboundRacialDescriptionEditor.zip. You'll need to copy and paste it into your address bar though."

 

this is an awesome tool! but ive got a problem-- when i go to change the race value, the only race available to me is the felin race. what can i do to fix this?

 

Just type in the name of your race, followed by "Description". It is case sensitive, so "felinDescription" is the format you should use. Just replace "felin" with whatever the name of your race is.

 

This no longer works i dont think. I followed what was said but every time i try to put the directory to the object file, it says its no the object files. This makes no sense and i think this is bugged out sadly. If anyone even looks here anymore, please help since ill be trying to do this manually

 

Did you unpack Starbound's assets? the objects file this tool wants is not the one that is in the "Tiled" folder on your Starbound folder, it's the one contained in the "packed.pak" file inside the assets folder (the same one you unpack to mod the game in any way)
