This online tool allows you to easily convert any (43x43) image to a hat. The methods the tool uses allow for the hats to equipped and used on servers without any game or server modifications. The output can be imported using StarCheat, applied to a recipe or spawned using /spawnitem. These last two require manually copying parts of the output. Further usage instructions can be found on the page. http://silvermods.com/Hatter/
i have a question, so this tool enables, an object to be .object file only, not a .object and a .png, am i correct?
Yeah, the tool generates an item descriptor (or command to spawn the item, but this contains the same data). There's no mod and no modified assets are involved: it is fully multiplayer compatible, even on servers that do not allow asset mismatching.
i am new to this i dont really understand can you make like of checklist sorry but i am VERY CONFUSED.
A checklist? Now you're just confusing me! You'll want to paste the generated command in singleplayer to obtain the hat you generated.
That didnt work it gave me random letters and numbers which i copy and pasted into the command place while in admin mode still didnt work
No(t currently). You can keep track of this thread if you want; someone's trying to exploit directives to make it possible: http://ilovebacons.com/threads/guide-to-re-animating-clothes-with-json.12019/
I've been having trouble adding my custom hat to Starbound. I did everything that it said I had to do, including type the code into the chat. I really need help.
